For many, leftovers are a staple of the holiday season. The surviving raccoon, however, is an entirely different story, but one that Carolina Panthers rookie Xavier Leggett is happy to share — literally.
On Thursday, Leggett brought a box of cooked raccoon meat to offer to the Braves in the locker room to try it, whether they were his teammates or members of the media.
And to his credit, curiosity won out.
Leggett’s love affair with raccoon meat is nothing new. In November, after Thanksgiving, the South Carolina natives left “The St. Brown Podcast” Amon-Ra and Equanimeous St. with Brown and discussed his take on the hottest foods, of which he has many.
“”I hunt it. I kill it. I skin them. cook them eat them All of them,” Leggett said.
Surprisingly, those things are will not eat, Like vegetablesincluding bell peppers.
“I don’t eat bell peppers and all the extra stuff like that … those things are too exotic,” Leggett told reporters Thursday. “(Raccoon) is a regular for me. I’ve been eating it since I came out.”
The Panthers (4-11) will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-7) on Sunday.
